Emergency Care

Emergency Dental Care

If you are experiencing a dental emergency, we're here to help you. Dental emergencies do not always cause sensitivity or pain, but it is always a signal that an experienced dental professional needs to be seen. Pain can be from the tooth itself, or it can originate from the jaw or other tissues in the immediate area. Depending on the type of pain and the symptoms, Dr. Schlosser can determine the cause and can treat the issue before it gets serious.

Urgent Dentist Appointments

No dental problem should be postponed or ignored because infection, whether bacterial, fungal or viral, can go from painless to severe in a short period of time. The sooner you contact our well-trained and caring dental team, the easier it will be for us to help you receive the necessary care with a gentle approach.

Emergency Root Canal

Root Canal

Root canal treatment is used to save or repair a tooth that has become infected. Inside every tooth is soft tissue called a nerve. Once the nerve becomes inflamed or infected, the nerve needs to be removed. Dr. Schlosser is very skilled at performing root canal with virtually no sensitivity at all that many of his patients fall asleep while we finish their treatment. We generally treat most teeth here in our dental office, avoiding sending you elsewhere for your comfort and convenience. The tooth is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, then the tooth is filled and sealed. The tooth is restored with a filling and a crown to protect your tooth.

A Tooth Extraction

If you need to have teeth removed, it is usually due to gum disease, tooth decay or overcrowding. Our job is to make sure that you are comfortable before, during and immediately after your tooth extraction. We will explain the procedure from the beginning to the end so you will know what to expect. We gently remove most teeth here in the office avoiding sending you to other offices.

Dental Care of Ephrata will help you choose what's best for you.
